It's a quiet hotel. Good value, you might want to try it. The property has a favourable location to Sonny Bono Salton Sea wildlife refuge. Delicious dishes can be found in the in-house restaurant.

The location was good and unbeatable, for example, Salvation Mountain was a 10-15 minute walking distance from the hotel. The rooms were beautifully maintained and recently refurbished equipped with all amenities, a sleeper sofa and a couch...

Well, I am not going to lie. The only reason we stayed there was because we couldn't find anything else between Joshua Tree np and San Diego. The drive from Joshua Tree np to Calipatria is enjoyable and offers some nice sightings, but not really worthwile. Calipatria itself is a 'small rural community' and there is not much going on. They have no decent shops, restaurants or entertainment. The rooms were clean, cheap, good for the money. However, you are in a rural community, so enjoy the smell :p Staff was ok. We booked a non-smoker room and upon entring one of the rooms, we detected a severe smoke smell. Got a switch to another room in 2 minutes without any problems.

Rural environment makes you want to stay inside.

The hotel is in a great location for visiting the Sonny Bono Wildlife Refuge. The rates were very reasonable; the rooms were great and the whole place had a resort like feel. There is a restaurant right on the premises which was very convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It was such a nice day we wished there were chairs and a small table outside the room. We took two chairs from the room ourselves and sat outside to have a glass of wine and relax.

This accommodation was comfortable and restful; the room was big and well-appointed. Very well situated for birders visiting the best part of the Salton Sea. The Manager was very friendly and accommodating. He was very helpful with advice for the area, and was eager to help in any way and he makes a mean Indian spiced chai! Room was clean and comfortable. Owner was most professional, and extended a warm feeling. I love the building structure/design with its beautiful tile roof. It was easy to identify, good signs and well-maintained paved parking premises. It had accessibility to the street and city. At check-out, it was quick and uncomplicated.

Would recommend this hotel.

My recent stay at the Calipatria Inn & Suites was fantastic. I stayed for a few nights and found the hotel to be conveniently located right off the highway. The owners were delightful and went above and beyond to ensure I had a personalized experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the hotel's proximity to both the Salton Sea and Brawley was perfect. The building itself is beautiful, with a stunning tile roof and well-maintained premises. The continental breakfast was above average, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

It was certainly the very best hotel in the region, their grounds are very nice for the region, their pet policy was very convenient for us. My 7 year-old enjoyed the spa (which was warm to splash around- but not too hot for a child). The breakfast was convenient and the lobby was nice. Good value.
